
Child Safety Equipment Fitter & Maintenance Worker. Salary: £12.21 per hour, 24.5 hours per week. Permanent contract.
Parenting 2000 provides a service on behalf of Sefton Council’s Child Injury Prevention Scheme to arrange the installation of child home safety equipment to families across the borough. Equipment includes safety gates, fire guards, window locks, cupboard locks, cord winders, bath mats and corner cushions. The role of this job is to install (fit) child Safety Equipment into homes in Sefton and to support the upkeep of Parenting 2000’s two sites and grounds, by providing maintenance, small repairs and adaptations. The post includes use of the company vehicle during working hours which requires the post holder to have a full driving licence.

Volunteering and Placement Opportunities
Volunteering: We offer a range of volunteer opportunities across the organisation. There are many reason to volunteer with us that include: Making a real difference to your community, using your existing skils and qualifications and gaining new skills, improving your employment opportunities.
From time to time we have volunteer roles for Children’s Therapists, Youth Workers and Handy Help.

Students Placements: We offer clinical placements for student counsellors. We work with mainly with children and young people aged 6 years -25 years so do not offer adult only placements. Currently capacity is full until June 2026.
Youth Work Placements: We offer youth work placments for over 16’s at school, college or university. Youth work placements hours are between 5:30 and 9pm.
