Who are we?

Shannon Bryan

Shannon started with the organisation 4 years ago as a Youth Worker and has gone from strength to strength, eventually being promoted to Youth Services Manager and then to Head of Youth and Community Programmes.

As Head of Youth and Community Programmes, Shannon is responsible for designing and coordinating our vast number of services that engage primarily with children, young people and families.

Shannon represents our organisation on a range of strategic boards, panels and steering groups and is also our deputy safeguarding lead and part of our Senior Management Team, where she participates in the creation and implementation of policies and organisation wide business development.

She has a BA in Television Production Management and uses these transferrable skills to bring our work and our approach, to life through video production, photography and marketing strategies on our social media platforms.

She has a background in Youth Participation and Development and has been called upon regionally, nationally and internationally as a Young Advisor, to represent and be a champion of Youth Voice. Shannon is passionate about co-design and co-delivery and employs a person centred approach which enables her to involve young people in every step of decision making, at every level to increase empowerment, ownership and the aspirations of children and young people. She embodies these values throughout her work at Parenting 2000.

Leah

Youth Worker

Leah is one of the newest members of our team but she has made a big impact on not only our team, but also our organisation itself. Leah joined us as a kick-start scheme administrator and took some interest in our youth team, which led her to become a member of our Youth Staff team.

Leah is a fun, energetic and strong presence on our team and enjoys bonding over comic books and games with the children and young people who access of our services. She is always enthusiastic about learning, helping our young people achieve academically and becoming someone the young people can trust and admire. Leah has been practicing BSL for 13 years and has achieved a commendation from Her Majesty the Queen for her work with voluntary services.

Leah is a valued member of our team and we are so happy to have her part of our Alchemy Family.
