Alchemy Youth Club in Southport & Crosby

Hi I’m Sarah, and I am the Youth Co-ordinator at Parenting 2000. I oversee our youth provision, working with young people across the Sefton area.

We are here to help you face the challenges of everyday life.

Our provision includes a Youth Club called Alchemy. It’s for 11 to 17 year olds and runs 4 evenings a week across 2 centres, costing only £1 per session.

Crosby (58 Coronation Road, Crosby, L23 5RQ)
Monday & Thursday 6pm – 9pm

Southport (Mornington Road, Southport, PR9 0TS)
Tuesday & Wednesday 5.30pm – 8.30pm

View Alchemy’s dedicated page to see what’s going on

Attending our Youth Clubs is a great way to meet new mates, increase your confidence and build your self-esteem. Both centres are inclusive and we welcome anyone with additional needs or disability.

Our staff are very supportive and helpful and will make sure you can participate in every aspect of the club. The team is also here to listen to any problems or worries you may have, and can give advice on many issues young people face today (such as education, jobs, relationships. substance misuse to name a few). We can also signpost you for further support via our own programs and/or other agencies.

If you would like more information regarding a young person attending the youth club or would like to hire the rooms for other activities, please call Sarah See on 07834 524987 or email sarah.see@parenting2000.org.uk

Tyred Rides

Our young people here at Parenting 2000 have set up a social enterprise within Southport, benefiting the local area through the recycling of bikes.

You can come along every Wednesday evenings 5pm to 7pm.

We have our own dedicated workshop for you to learn how to repair and maintain your pedal cycle and even try your hand at building your own bike.

Paul is our master repairer and will be able to teach you all the skills you need.

We also help fix bikes donated to us so we can sell them back to the community at an affordable price, helping to raise valuable funds for Parenting 2000.

Take a look at our selection of pre-loved bikes for sale over on our Tyred Rides Facebook page.

If you would like to donate your old bikes/parts, or would like to know more about Tyred Rides, then please contact Paul at paul.kay@parenting2000.org.uk.

C-Card

Sharon, a school nurse, attends our Crosby Centre each Thursday 3.30pm ’til 4.30pm. She operates the C-Card scheme as a drop in session for the young people of Sefton.

The C-Card scheme is aimed at 13-24 year olds who can register to get a range of free condoms, femidoms, lube, dams information and advice.
